How exciting to return to this lovely celebration of kid heart energy... planting trees and learning about all the ways trees give-and-take from the global web of life! We must be approaching two decades of annual concerts at this incredible experience for ALL of the schools in Strathcona County. The on-site staff & volunteers offer one of the warmest welcomes I've ever experienced, so it's always a blast to catch up with familiar faces, among the hundreds of teachers and volunteers that bring their Grade Ones each year. Someone should do a documentary! And now we can say we play arenas!

Peter is delighted to return to the Killbear Amphitheatre, with new guitar singalong songs, vintage faves & poignant stories, to celebrate caring for wildlife, and each other. Last summer, inclement weather moved the highly interactive performance to a packed Visitor Centre, where kids and grown-up alike could be heard laughing & singling at the top of their lungs. Suggested donation to Friends of Killbear Programming is $10 per family.

Consider coming early to grab your seats, be a part of the buzz, & and bring your dancing shoes for when height-efficient park visitors / caretakers pack the dance floor in front of the stage, without even being asked! "Peter’s infectious energy blurs the lines between performer & audience, creating a mass collaboration that is often lead by the kids themselves!"

Peter returns to one of his most favourite Puffin concert locations for a highly interactive guitar singalong concert, designed for kids up to age 12, parents, & grown-ups who still have a kid heart! Come help us celebrate the 20th anniversary of this welcoming community hub & meeting place.

Peter has been tailoring concerts for the Beaumont Library since the beginning... & has helped celebrate the 10th Anniversary, Summer Reading Club, Family Literacy Day, etc.

Peter says: "I'm super-fortunate to witness & be part of the library's growing influence and essential role in being an exciting hub for citizens connecting with each other & beyond!

Seems like to getting to help with celebrating 20 years for the Library, is also a celebration of the Town of Beaumont growing into a small City!”

We'll have songs about storytelling, being kind, caring for each other and the planet, while we celebrate the people who make Beaumont Library so amazing, for 20 years and counting!

And YES... there will be cake! Event starts at 11:45, concert at 12:15.

We are sad to not be able to reach Port Alberni this time, applaud the Library Team for needing to make a tough decision, & will keep re-scheduling a date at top of our asap list. Long shot for September, more likely Summer 2024, along with new requests already flowing in! With Peter's show for Parksville Library at the Coombs Fairgrounds at 10am on the same day, the ongoing construction / closures of Highway 4, made it impossible to ensure that he could reach Port Alberni by 3pm (or at all), & then possibly not get back out to the Cowichan Lake show the next day. Thanks to all for their understanding. Peter wrote a special letter to the kids of the Summer Reading Program, saying "just a postponement"... to boost their spirits, and encourage their reading progress!

Parksville

Coombs Fairground Bandshell, 1014 Ford Rd., Coombs, BC

Rumours growing about a special guest joining Peter on stage for the Parksville Library / Coombs show, as well as audience volunteers being able to join in on special activities, always on their own terms. We've been meeting so many amazing kid hearts at all these shows. Kids have been loving the free stickers after the concert, and parents have been purchasing merch reminders (t shirts, hats, NEW limited edition Puffin patches, CDs & sheet music) of a peak summer experience for the whole family. Paypal, Interac etransfer, cheque and cash accepted. Note time change from 10:15am to 10am start time. With all the positive press around Peter's 20 shows on the Island, a couple of start times have drifted... in keeping with the Summer Reading Program theme: Journey Through Time!
